Daylong: Liberating Mindfulness

Loading Events
A day of meditation with Shaila Catherine.
This day-long event will explore the fourth foundation of mindfulness (Satipatthana), variously referred to as mental objects, dhammas, or phenomena. This fourth foundation extends the awareness of body and mind to include the functions, causes, and interrelationships of states. We become aware of how various mental states condition the mind, how we relate to the experiences of life, and how states either aid or hinder our spiritual progress. Mindful investigation is the key to the development of liberating knowledge.
The day-long program program will include sitting and walking meditation, instructions, and opportunities for individual meetings with the teacher. This practice day is appropriate for new and experienced meditators, drop-in participants, and dedicated Walking the Path members.

There will be a pot-luck community meal at 12:30; please bring a food dish to share.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME. Chairs are provided. Bring a cushion if you prefer to sit on the floor.
